Thin Film Solar Cells:A Review of Technology Trends

Thin film solar cell(TFSC) with lower cost and higher efficiency is one of the promising projects for photovoltaics industry.The main technologies of thin film solar cells are reviewed,including silicon based thin film solar cells,Cu(In,Ga)Se2(CIGS) and Cu2ZnSnS4(CZTS) solar cells,and GaAs solar cells.The respective characteristics,the latest research progress,the main technique routes and the commercial produce of TFSC are indicated and the development tendency in the future is analyzed.
