Verification and validation of the Onera elsA flow solver on RANS benchmarks

Results of the elsA software package, the Onera multi-purpose tool for applied aerodynamics and multi-physics, are presented for well-known test cases. We give an overview of the results obtained with elsA in the recent workshops dealing with transport aircraft: Drag Prediction Workshops, High Lift Prediction Workshops, Aeroelastic Prediction Workshop. Turbomachinery and helicopter configurations are also considered, respectively with aerodynamic results on the Rotor 37 test case and with aerodynamic, aeroelastic and aeroacoustic results on the HART II database. Simpler configurations proposed by the Turbulence Modeling Resource website of NASA Langley have also been computed with elsA: results are presented for the 2-D zero pressure gradient flat plate and for the 2-D backward facing step.
