Abstract:
Since last year (2015) MERCon publications are visible in the SCOPUS database/index. This is a significant achievement because SCOPUS is increasingly being used by many agencies to judge the research performance of both individuals and institutions. Both the THES (Times Higher Education Supplement) and QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) university ranking systems use SCOPUS. For this reason the University of Moratuwa is moving towards treating SCOPUS as a benchmark for quality publications. So MERCon's inclusion in SCOPUS is indeed a big step towards its international credibility; it will also probably attract progressively better quality papers in years to come, including overseas ones.The credibility is the main value basis for all citizens' morality.And its cultivation should begin from childhood.Further,the credibility education of familial members will exert great influence on children.Nowadays,there exist problems as vague understanding of credibility,inappropriate education and inadequate examples in familial members.Therefore,familial members should make the credibility rules and accept willingly the award or penalty.In addition,they should set good examples for credibility in doing and being.

This paper expatiates on the important significance of credibility education in the construction of harmonious society, analyzes the causes for credibility crisis of college students, and discusses the ways and methods to implement credibility education of college students from the following aspects: strengthening environment building and creating good credibility atmosphere; perfecting system construction for college students’ credibility and establishing evaluation system for college students’ credibility; further reinforcing credibility culture construction in colleges and universities and resisting counter-credibility cultures, etc.

The cultivation of university students' credibility is vital to the future of the nation and the people. University moral education should pay enough attention to and play a specific role in the formation and research of credibility. Students' credibility should be carried out in a positive way. The idea that everything is to be based on the foundation of credibility should be advocated. University students' credit system should be constructed so that it will have a systematic guarantee. Meanwhile, a sound creditable environment should be established.

Abstract This study presents and explains the phenomenon of indexjacking , which involves the systematic infiltration of hijacked journals into international indexing databases, with Scopus being one of the most infiltrated among these databases. Through an analysis of known lists of hijacked journals, the study identified at least 67 hijacked journals that have penetrated Scopus since 2013. Of these, 33 journals indexed unauthorized content in Scopus and 23 compromised the homepage link in the journal's profile, while 11 did both. As of September 2023, 41 hijacked journals are still compromising the data of legitimate journals in Scopus. The presence of hijacked journals in Scopus is a challenge for scientific integrity due to the legitimization of unreliable papers that have not undergone peer review and compromises the quality of the Scopus database. The presence of hijacked journals in Scopus has far‐reaching effects. Papers published in these journals may be cited, and unauthorized content from these journals in Scopus is thus imported into other databases, including ORCID and the WHO COVID‐19 Research Database. This poses a particular challenge for research evaluation in those countries, where cloned versions of approved journals may be used to acquire publications and verifying their authenticity can be difficult.

Nowadays, the credibility of graduate employment has been the focus of the whole society. Based on many years of guide experience in the employment of graduates and the adverse influence of the credibility absence, in this paper the author summarizes the different forms of credibility absence and makes a careful study on such behaviors in their employment career, finally reasonable suggestions for college's credibility education are presented.

In this thesis, the goal is to find an automatic way to separate fake news articles from real articles, which could be used to stop this spread. To do this, the credibility of an article will be looked at, in order to determine if an article is real or not. An algorithm was created, to determine the credibility, based on the author, publisher, and listed references. These article attributes would be compared with other datasets on the internet, and an estimation of the credibility would be given. If an article were estimated as credible, it would also mean the content would be true. Through testing, an F1 score of .75 was found, with the true positive being detecting a real article as real. This result shows that there is a potential for using credibility, to verify an article as real. The credibility was also used to detect fake articles as fake, and an even higher F1 score was found, but because testing was done with limited data, and a non-credible source could still speak the truth, this result would be considered as inconclusive.
