The project course based on the work process starts with the employment status of students by the typical tasks analysis, and then follows the laws of human cognitive and career growth process to transform into the item courses. The project courses confuse the distinction between the theory and practice teaching, in addition to the professional knowledge and skill training, pay more attention to students' organization, exchange, cooperation, self-study, independent thinking, and other key capacities, which could inspire the teacher's teaching and students' learning initiative. The paper makes exploration on the project curriculum development, construction, implementation based on the work process.

With the advancement of information communication technology in Malaysia, education field should take advantage to upgrade their learning and management techniques. Students should be allowed to learn anytime, anywhere and at their own place. However administration and lecture should be able to manage their work more effective and flexible. The web-based system is effective way to learning and managing education works. This report outlines the development of a web-based postgraduate
thesis/dissertation management system (WPTS), which aimed to assist thesis/dissertation administration, supervisor and students in the better integration during students doing the thesis/dissertation works. This prototype system base on case study with a group of MSC(IT), administration, lecturer and students who participate in thesis/dissertation management activities. This report also presenting the tests conducted with users, it also
contributed some perspective regarding benefits that gain by administration, supervisor and students, and recommends future application of the approach.

Teaching students project managements requires a hands-on approach. Incorporating project management concepts and processes into a student team Web development project adds a dimension that exposes students to the realities of effective Web development. This paper will describe the project management approach used in a Web development course in which students build complete Websites. Based upon the written evaluations included with the final project documentation, students feel this project is the most valuable learning experience of the course. Furthermore, a positive relationship is established between the actual Web development and effective project management processes. It is important for students to understand the triple constraints (scope, time, and cost) that must be balanced in business projects.

This paper presents the content of the television distance education course called management of software projects. It is a mandatory course of the undergraduate program of computer science from University Laval. Thirteen television programs are used to show the workplace reality. The first part of this paper summarizes the result of the needs analysis that drives us to design and develop this kind of distance learning material. The second part gives an idea of the knowledge that students must acquire. The third part gives emphasis to the use of television programs to share parts of the professional lives of forty experienced managers of software projects.

One of the topics missing from many of today's Computer Science/Software Engineering courses is a course where the students would get three types of input: (1) a substantial project before the final year (usually only small revision questions or exercises are offered); (2) a programme of study that binds all learning objectives within a particular level and (3) a preparation for eventual employment by for example working in teams for problem solving, organisational, and practical management skills. In this paper we will describe our experience in running one such course entitled: An Applications Workshop Programme. We shall detail the philosophy behind the design, the organisation of the programme, the applications to be undertaken by the students, the organisation of the work between the students, and the lessons learned from running this series of workshops over all levels, but in particular the second year.

At postgraduate level, students expect more than basic project management education. Therefore a course called "Organisational Project Management" (OPM) was introduced in an international master's program in project management. The intention with the course was twofold: Firstly, to introduce OPM as a research field in organization theory; secondly, to prepare the students for working in a multi-project environment. In this paper we present how the course was designed to fulfill the students' demands on an academic course at this level, while at the same time giving them practical experience of how OPM is implemented in the industry. Hence, the course is divided in a theoretical part presenting current theories in OPM, and a practical part, in which the students study how these theories and practices are applied in different companies. The students are working in a project spanning from initiation to closure, in which they prepare for and perform a maturity assessment of a company of their choice. The course has been run in six consecutive programs. From start, feedback from the students has shown that they consider the learning outcome very high and useful for their future work life. For some of the students, this is the first time that they have been provided an opportunity to discuss organizational issues and concepts such as project governance and project portfolio management with a manager in the industry. For students with work experience, the course has provided means to reflect on their previous work life.

This case study concerns 'Travel and Society', an advanced level module offered to students taking the Travel Management pathway at London Metropolitan University’s North Campus. It has been designed to introduce travel management students to the broad context of personal mobility. This module is unique, as for the first time it offers undergraduate students taking this pathway the opportunity to utilise Web-based assessment. At an employer's forum, the concept was praised by the employers present as a suitable and innovative way of assessing learning within the context of developing the student for the workplace.

ABSTRACT We introduce in this paper a project-based-experiential learning method that could be used to enhance project management education for engineering students in undergraduate level. The method is targeting active and sensing learners, based on Felder index of learning styles. The idea here is to get the students to work in groups in order to solve real world project problems from various engineering sectors. The task (problem solving) is conducted as a project in itself, with predefined scope, goal, objectives, project plan, and risk assessment. This method helps the students getting a first hand experience in running projects, as a cooperative problem solving approach. Various project management concepts, methods, and techniques are taught to the students in advance to the project assignment through lectures sessions, multimedia online lectures and group discussions. The paper discusses the advantages as well as the main success factors for implementing this approach.

One of the problems we face in 4-year engineering technology programs is to motivate students to work on a senior project that is based on the research methodology. Most students choose instead traditional design projects. The design projects are good for integrating knowledge from various courses, but students do not get a chance to work on new innovative areas where they have to learn new ideas and new methodologies. The project described in this paper, although not a new technique, gave the student a chance to work in a research related field. As part of the preparation for the work the student was given basic information required for any research project.A review of various related statistical concepts was also completed. This paper reflects the work done in this senior
