    Abstract:
    With the technique of the computar aided design (CAD) and drawing applied to the design of the round breach, some key problems in breach design such as the determination of the rise per tooth and the pitch of teeth (namely the type of the chip flute) have been successfully solved.Some of the designs are optimized. The tool diagram is drawn by means of AUTOCAD drawing software package, which possesses a strong drawing function. The software is characterized by the use of many programming techniques, the comprehensive design and convenient operation. The application of this software has considerably shortened the design cycle of the round breach design and the accuracy is guaranteed as well.
    Multi-coordinate drawing is mainly used in the situation where multiple drawings need to be compared each other.Generally,drawing software can only draw in one coordinate,but not in multi-coordinate directly.To solve this problem and meet the ARJ21-700 airplane flight manual making requirements,a solution in which the drawing area is divided into grid been proposed.The grid can then be used to layout each drawing sub area.With data translation and grid,drawing GAPP performance chart becomes easier in JAVA environment.This solution can also be used in other simple drawing softwares.

    This paper describes a computer aided process planning system called Deep-Drawing, Deep-Drawing is designed for the drawing sequence of cylindrical and rectangular cups with or without taper and flange. The computer program has written in BASIC language with personal computer. Design Rules for process planning are formulated from process limitation, plasticity theory and experimental results including the know-how of many manufacturing factories. Deep-Drawing Capabilities include the analysis of drawing sequence by the determination of optimal drawing ratio, the determination of intermediate shape, dimensions, punch and die radius etc., the calculation of drawing loads and blank holder force to perform each drawing step, and the graphic outputs for the operation sheet.tputs for the operation sheet.

    Many constraint conditions should be considered in the design of the cap of pile foundation, and the work is very tedious. So it's necessary to complete the design work with the aid of the software. This paper is based on secondary development way of ObjectARX, with using the parametric approach to develop the software for designing pile foundation. By using the extended record of the graph database, we can design independent data structure for each entity, and allow different design parameters for each shear wall. This software provides the preliminary design and post-process functions of the pile foundation, and implements the manual intervention to the design results. With the experiments, the result of the design with the help of the software is very close to the design results of manual design. The development of software not only meets the design requirements, but also improves the efficiency with reducing the cost.

    The paper describes the use of colour graphics to check displacement stability and trim in the design of maritime structures. The design process in CAD is divided into three phases, namely: concept definition, preliminary design and detailed design. The last two phases are the subject of the paper. The preliminary design deals with displacement and stability. In the detailed design these objectives are completed with the trim. The checking of loading condition(s) is an important step in the decision-making process. Therefore a multipurpose program for generation of fair curves of waterplane areas has been developed to calculate the hold - and tank capacities in the preliminary design. In the detailed design the loading conditions are visually checked by means of the hold capacity curve. The CAD hardware used consisted of a personal computer and a mini computer. Advantages and disadvantages of both systems are considered and the advantages of using a colour copier are discussed.

    The methods of transform froming solid modal to schedule drawing in AutoCAD 2004 are introduced in this paper. In order to make up for the defects of these methods, the schedule drawing system is developed based on these methods with the secondary development tool of ObjcetARX. The system has some advantages of friendly user interface, operating easily and reducing many repeated operations, improving the efficiency of design. Furthermore, the schedule drawing is created in the model space, which makes the user’s operation more convenient.

    Most mechanical CAD software used in mechanical design involves different types of decisions. All these decisions require coordinate-geometric and descriptive data. The objective of this work is to establish software programs for designing and analyzing rivets for boiler shells as an example to use rivets in industry. In general rivets are considered as mechanical elements of wide range application. A software program using Visual Basic Version 5 with ACCESS database is used for design of rivets. When the user inters the input data to the system and depending on existing database, the software carries out a series of complex computations, after which it produces a comprehensive report that includes all engineering dimensions and efficiency.The program, designed in this research, has feasible ability to deal with data base in an easy and reliable way especially for unprofessional users. This is a database that can be updated and edited at any time to get proper results. The program can be applied also to different types of riveted joint.
