    Abstract. DSP has been one of the most fashionable embedded technology after SCM and the core engine of the digital information age. With the constantly effort and innovation of the Texas instrument(TI) ,Freescale and other companies, performance and function of DSP has been more and more stable and powerful. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) which is a rapidly developing neotype branch has provided a perfect solution for controlling all kinds of motor. The TMS320F28335 from TI has been used as the core of the control. The connecting of the system of the motor and DSP,wave mode for operating,the program for controlling are elaborated .Moreover the different between DSP and other method for control and the caution notes has been analyzed.

    DSP,the acronym of digital signal processing is usually refering to the digital signal processors.Today,DSP system is occupying the fields of digital communications,signal processing,industrial control,image processing and so on,this is because of its powerful signal processing capabilities,rapid processing speed and its accuracy.The development course of DSP is briefly introduced in this article.The situation of motor control and protection nowadays are analyzed,as well as the trends of development in the future.This article also shows the instance in the field of motor control and protection by using DSP.

    This paper describes the utility of the Java-DSP (J-DSP) technology and the associated on-line laboratories in linear systems courses. J-DSP originally was developed for use in a DSP undergraduate course. Recently the functionality of J-DSP has been extended to support communications, image processing and controls courses. In addition, several new functions have been developed to support advanced DSP applications, such as, speech coding, voice recognition, and spectral estimation. Some of these extensions have also been used to demonstrate the use of DSP in emerging research areas such as Genomics. The first part of the paper discusses these functionality extensions and planned functionality and the second part focuses on the on-line J-DSP laboratories and assessment of J-DSP labs.

    An undergraduate level laboratory course on digital signal processing (DSP) is described. The primary purpose of the laboratory is a better understanding of the theoretical concepts, and to let the students experience actual DSP happening in real-time, using real devices. The paper describes the experience of one institution in the teaching of applied signal processing. The paper will be of interest to those teaching DSP related courses at undergraduate level, such as Introduction to DSP, Real-time DSP, and the Fundamentals of DSP. The low-cost dsPICPRO4 DSP development kit is used as the fundamental tool in the laboratory experiments.

    Compared with digital signal processing(DSP) processor, FPGAs are increasingly used in DSP applications thanks to its parallel processing and flexibility. Altera's Stratix25 DSP Development Kit(DSK) is introduced in this paper. Its hardware structure and software development environment DSP Builder are discussed in details. The contents of experiments based on this DSK are presented furthermore. The result shows this DSK is a powerful development platform for DSP designs and is adaptable to experimental teaching of DSP.

    The characteristics of digital signal processor (DSP) are investigated from the viewpoint of design and application in the article. The characteristics distinguished from other processors are elaborated from the aspects of architecture, instruction set and processing unit. The developing situation of DSP is presented; the processes from single MAC unit and complex instruction to double MAC units and complex instructions, as well as to single instruction and multiple MAC units are reviewed. And it is indicated that the application of DSP has compelled it forward rapidly. At last, the trend of development of DSP is predicted: the multi-issued DSP, embedded DSP and hybrid DSP of computation and control are the future orientations of DSP.

    A user friendly environment for the fast prototyping of audio bandwidth digital signal processing (DSP) applications and application specific ICs (ASICs) based on reusable hardware components such as FPGAs, microcontrollers, RAMs, DSP-cores, general DSP processors are presented. The paper describes the different target application domains which have been used as drivers for the development of the emulation environment. It describes the approach followed and solutions for real-time emulation of DSP applications. Both the hardware and software aspects are discussed. It summarizes the requirements which have been met by the above system, and gives some ideas on further work to be performed. This development is the result of the ESPRIT project RETIDES (Real Time DSP Emulation System) sponsored by the European Commission.

    The Java-DSP (J-DSP) on-line laboratory software has been developed from the ground up at Arizona State University to support the computer lab portion of the senior-level DSP course. J-DSP provides capabilities for web-based DSP simulations that can be run using a PC with a Java-enabled browser. J-DSP is accompanied by exercises that actively engage students in several concepts including Z-transforms, filter design, spectral analysis, and random signal processing. Tools and on-line instruments for assessment of the J-DSP software and the associated lab exercises have been developed and described in this letter. Statistical analysis of the pre/post assessment data revealed that the effect of student involvement and the student learning has been enhanced by using J-DSP.
