    Abstract:
Most optical systems are generally used in normal conditions, that means, in normal temperature and pressure. but some optical systems,f or example, those specially used in remote satellite or in aerospace, may be affected by the thermal effects caused by the environmental temperature variation. Some deviations will take place in the refractive indices, curvatures, element thicknesses and airspaces of these systems due to the great variation and difference in temperature, pressure and radiation, and certainly the image quality of the systems will be also not as good as that before. Therefore, when we design these systems, the most important thing is to eliminate the thermal effects caused by the environmental temperature. Most of the previous research involved description of the uniform temperature fields, and some researchers studied the theory of radial distribution of temperature gradients in optical glass lenses. Only in recent years the athermalisation techniquies are proposed and some special examples are reported. Several famous optical design corporations have adopted the techniques and used in their optical design software, for example CODE V of O.R.A. and OSLO Six of Sinclair, however these achievements are only initiatory.

Firstly, according to variation contents, the paper divides variation into operating range variation, construction condition variation, design variation, construction variation and technique standards variation. Contraposing to different content variation, the paper puts forward dissimilar control methods. According to the property of project variation, the paper divides variation into fatal variation, important variation and general variation, and points out that we can control variation effectively by establishing dissimilar authority of project variation examination and approval. Finally, according to the urgency of variation, the paper divides variation into variation under urgent circumstance and variation under not urgent circumstance, and puts forward that we can control these variation by different procedure.

The aerospace industry is undergoing tremendous changes causing a shift in focus, methodology, and the speed of innovation. The "NewSpace" sector of the aerospace industry consists of almost 1,000 companies focused on creating different business models for accessing space. As a result, the role of The Aerospace Corporation (Aerospace) as a trusted advisor on space programs is taking on a new focus as our customers are working directly with the NewSpace sector. The speed and agility of NewSpace and an increasing focus on space security is pushing Aerospace to elevate our culture of innovation. In this paper, we describe the programs we created to stimulate this culture and engage our employees in more innovative practices.

Thermal analysis is an analytical method that contains a wide variety of essential approaches that study the materials by testing their properties variations with the variation of heating and time. Many thermal techniques are available for characterisation of many of the thermochemical and thermophysical features of the materials. Thermoptometry is one of the thermal analysis techniques that defined as a family of thermoanalytical techniques where an optical feature of the test sample is monitored with time and/or temperature. Some thermal transitions cannot be understood accurately with common thermal analysis techniques. Hot-stage (thermal) microscopy is the blend of microscopy and thermal investigation to allow the properties of the materials to study with heating and time. Besides determining details about particle size and particle morphology, the optical evaluation offers useful data about the substance under testing relating to glass transition, melting transition or various other thermal changes. Thermal microscopy provides an excellent possibility to visually observe thermal changes.

In this paper, the thermal behavior of double sided cooled (DSC) power modules (PMs) is investigated through an in-depth analysis based on finite-element method simulations. Although the innovative DSC technology undoubtedly improves the electrical performance and mechanical ruggedness of power modules, its promising thermal behavior – characterized by peculiar heat pathways – deserves to be further discussed. DSC PMs are analyzed by activating and de-activating each cooling surface in a wide range of boundary conditions. To provide a comprehensive explanation of the thermal phenomena occurring in such assemblies, a steady-state model relying on an equivalent thermal circuit is proposed.
Cross-talks and sketches are two important forms of language art in our country. They are popular with a wide range of audiences around the country due to their humorous language. Language variation is a very important means of creating humor effect. In cross-talks and sketches, various forms of language variation, including phonetic variation, lexical variation, grammar variation, semantic variation, stylistic variation and pragmatic variation, are applied to realize humor effect.

Many vessels experience significant thermal loads in operation. This paper discusses a method used to develop the internal thermal boundary conditions (film coefficients) required to evaluate thermal loads when the thermal properties of the internal fluid are unknown. In a thermal analysis it is critical to determine the correct film coefficients to achieve the proper behavior. Improperly quantified heat up rates can have a dramatic effect on the overall design. An example is provided to show how assumptions on thermal input can directly effect the results. The method described in this paper uses Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to determine internal film coefficients based on field measured thermocouple data.

Metal matrix composites (MMCs) are of considerable interest to the aerospace industry because of their great potential for the production of lightweight, structurally efficient aerospace components. This potential has been recognized on an international level throughout the Western world, with many nations classing MMCs as being of strategic importance. This article assesses the aerospace market for MMCs and highlights the increasing efforts to exploit the potential of these materials in all sectors of the aerospace industry.
The thermal network method was applied to the analysis of thermal heads used in high-speed printers, and the relationships among pertinent variables were obtained. These include heating duration and applied power, which can be more easily measured than temperature. The relationships are exhibited by varying the protective layer thickness as example parameter. It was found that the thermal network method is a very useful tool for preliminary thermal design of a head due to its simplicity and that the effects of a parameter such as the protective layer thickness on the thermal performance of the head become stronger for a shorter heating duration. This means that thermal analysis is of special importance in designing high-speed thermal printers.< >

This paper presents the current development and formulate the future direction of selective laser melting (SLM) technology in the aerospace industry. The potential application and challenges of SLM in producing aerospace industry components, their key requirements, and the mechanical properties of the built parts were discussed. SLM technology can be considered a viable method in the aerospace industry when all process parameters are controlled, consistent and the printing process is stable. This paper fulfills a need to evaluate the SLM technology in terms of application in the aerospace industry, as there are no viable studies that directly address this issue.
