Method and technology for preparing p-substituted alkyl benzene sulfonyl chloride

2012
The invention relates to a method and a technology for preparing p-substituted alkyl benzene sulfonyl chloride, and the method comprises the steps of: 1) adding alkylbenzene and an inorganic salt catalyst into a reaction kettle, slowly adding chlorosulfonic acid once at the temperature of 0 to 45 DEG C when stirring, carrying out heat preservation, and reacting for 0.1-10hours to obtain a sulfonated material; and 2) separating and purifying by an ice water precipitation method, to obtain the p-substituted alkyl benzene sulfonyl chloride. The invention has the beneficial effects that inorganic salt like sodium sulfate can be taken as the catalyst, so that side reaction can be effectively inhibited in sulfonation reaction and chlorosulfonation, the generation of by-products can be reduced, and the yield of the alkyl benzene sulfonyl chloride is improved to 90-99%; furthermore, low-temperature one-step sulphonation technology and chlorosulfonation technology are adopted, so that the operation process can be simplified, the production period can be effectively shortened, and the problems that the existing method and technology are high in inorganic acyl chloride cost, higher in toxicity and difficult in three-waste treatment, organic solvent is needed to be recovered, and the like can be solved.
