The Role of the Specialist Nurse Within Gynaecology

This chapter looks at the role of the specialist and advanced nurse practitioner (ANP) within gynaecology and women’s health. It examines what defines an ANP and the components needed for the role. It then looks at the different areas within women’s health in which nurses have undertaken this role, such as hysteroscopy, colposcopy and scanning.
