Effects of a compound agent of Ganoderma lucidum, Agaricus blazei, tea polyphenols and Astragalus on immune enhancement of mice.

To investigate the immune enhancement effect of the mixture of Ganoderma lucidum,Agaricus blazei, tea polyphenols and Astragalus, mice were fed with different dose of the mixtures; SRBC experiment was used to induce mice DTH; and methods of Jerne and HC50 were used to determine cellular and humoral immunity, respectively. By experiment of phagocyte in abdominal cavity to phagocytize chicken red blood cell in vitro, activity of mono-phagocyte was checked. The treatment effects on thymus and spleen were also observed. The result showed that, the functions of cellular immune of the mice in the three groups were obviously improved. And the humoral immunity and activity of mono-phagocyte of the mice in the high-dose and mid-dose groups were greatly improved. Besides, no significant effect of the compound agent on the immune apparatus was found.
