골다 공증의 위험 인자들에 대한 연구

2001
Objective: To evaluate the perceptiveness and seriousness in Korean women as to osteoporosis and to analyze known risk factors for osteoporosis in order to seek for the important factors as guideline of bone mineral density test and to determine their usefulness. Methods: For the 113 female patients, we collected the data of the various factors including risk factors, patients' perceptiveness and seriousness toward osteoporosis by history taking, physical examination and questionnaire and we measured the bone mineral density for each patient. We investigated the patients' thoughts or beliefs about osteoporosis, evaluated the differences in factors between the normal group and osteopenic/osteoporotic group and finally analyzed any relationship between the bone mineral density and various factors. Results: Nearly most of the patients have heard of osteoporosis admitting their small to moderate knowledge about that disease; their informational sources mostly from mass media; they showed more than average values as to osteoporosis in their anxiety level, disease possibility, seriousness, and relation to their life style and behavioral forms. There were statistically significant differences in age, menopausal duration, delivery history, marital and educational state between the normal and osteopenic/osteoporotic group; there was no statistically significant factor in the behavioral forms. After regression analysis test to find any relationship between bone mineral density and the various factors including age, body weight, menopausal state, smoking, alcoholic drinking, dietary milk intake, coffee, calcium drug intake and physical activity, body weight and age were statistically significant factors. Conclusion: Body weight and age were most important factors in screening patients who need bone mineral density test. Evaluation about several factors such as menopaused state, smoking, alcohol, milk, coffee drinking and calcium drug intake may be used an additional indicator of risk of osteoporosis and a guideline for the bone mineral density test. Further study is needed for reevaluating known risk factors of osteoporosis.
