60 GHz Wireless Access System Concept

Data rate demand for wireless systems due to variety of applications is permanently growing. Recently, 60 GHz band is worldwide allocated as a possible band for ultrabroadband applications. In this paper basic scenarios for outdoor, underground and large hall type of environments are proposed, together with technology requirements and specific technology solutions. In contrast to the clear indoor applications, the new additional approach opens new applications within public download capabilities, and high data rate communication in GigaBit/s area. The basic ideas for the new arts of the business model where connectivity is free of charge are outlined.
