A vehicle is provided with a motor which is configured to provide drive torque and to allow regenerative braking. Furthermore, the vehicle includes a controller which is for receiving input signals indicative of a vehicle speed and a battery state of charge (Bsoc), and for deactivating the drive torque when the Bsoc is below a maximum discharge limit, configured. Further, the control for the activation of regenerative braking if the Bsoc is below the maximum discharge limit and the vehicle speed is above a predetermined speed is configured.
