Computerized bone trauma therapy instrument in combination with intermediate-frequency therapy apparatus and with exercise therapy for the elderly with goneitis

Objective To investigate a comprehensive treatment for the elderly with osteoarthritis of knee joint. Methods 120 subjects with senile retrograde affection of the knee joint were divided into two groups.Patients in the treatment group received physical therapy using a computerized bone trauma therapy instrument and a computeried-intermediate-frequency(IF) physiotherapy instrument,and after every times of treatment the patients were guided to do exercise.The control group was given treatment using the computer-bone trauma physical therapy treatment instrument and the computerized IF.Results In the treatment group,the total response rate was 98.33%,and in the control group,the total response rate was 88.33%.A follow-up of 3 months had been done to evaluate the outcomes,the results of the treatment group were superior to the control group with a reduced relapse rate. Conclusion Physiotherapy in combination with exercise therapy for age-related arthritis of the knee joint has good curative results.
