Thermodynamics of polyacethylene in the temperature range 0-340 K

1998
For cis- and trans-poly(acetylene)s, the heat capacities were measured by adiabatic vacuum calorimetry in the 5-335 K range, and the thermodynamic functions C o p , H o (T)-H o (0), S o (T)-S o (0), and G o (T)-H o (0) were calculated in the 0-330 K range. New results combined with the published data were used to determine the thermodynamic parameters for the reactions of poly(acetylene) preparation from acetylene, benzene, cyclooctatetraene, PVC, and PVA.
