Method and device for spatial homogenization of the field strength of RF pulses to a transmitting antenna of a magnetic resonance tomography apparatus

2013
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for spatial homogenization of the field strength of voltages (UTX is) of high frequency pulses of a plurality of RF transmitters (TX1, TX2) which in a magnetic resonance measurement of a to the measuring object from a transmitting antenna (3) a magnetic resonance measuring device (1, 2) are emitted, wherein a) (by the electromagnetic field of the antenna 3) induced measured complex voltages (Upu-is) of a plurality (of field probes 4) which are arranged in the vicinity of the antenna (3), are superimposed on each phase-shifted appropriately and a complex transfer function (M) for determining the new desired homogenized voltages (UTX-soll) of the high-frequency pulses to said antenna (3) is used, and or b) the output signals of at least two directional couplers (5) (to the RF feed lines 6) of the antenna (3) are superimposed on each suitably phase-shifted, and thus complex impedances (Z-is), and scattering parameters of a complex scattering matrix (S1) of the antenna (3) are determined, the (UTX-soll) for the determination of the new desired homogenized voltages of the high frequency pulses to said antenna (3) can be used.
