Oral mucositis is the main complication of high-dose chemotherapy and transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells. This paper presents the first results of calcium phosphate (Caposol, Germany) mouth rinse treatment in patients with oral mucositis developing after high-dose chemotherapy and transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells. Calcium phosphate mouth rinse treatment reduced the severity and duration of oral mucositis. Moreover, patients treated by caposol needed less often carrying out of second-line antibacterial therapy.
