Pragmatics and Equivalent Translation

It is flexible to convey the meaning of words during the discourse communication,for it is always based on the discourse context.Therefore,the translation of words must also be very flexible.Actually,it is very difficult or even impossible to achieve strict "equivalent translation",so "equivalent translation" is not a very scientific term.However,when the pragmatic equivalence principle of pragmatics,the relevance theory and the contextual theory are applied into the translation practice,excellent tranlation will be produced,leading to the successful exchange among authors,translators and readers.
