Plasma confinement during ohmic heating in the L-2 stellarator

Certain aspects of the equilibrium and stability of the plasma, the transport of impurities, their distribution, and the impurity-induced distributions of the volume loss and of Z/sub eff/ have been studied. Features of the radial profile of the fluxes of charge-exchange neutrals and the asymmetry of the ion-temperature profile have also been studied. Numerical calculations are carried out on the energy balance equation for the ions.
