Modulation of Gastrointestinal Microflora to Amino Acid Homeostasis of the Host Animals

2005
Recent research advance in the modulation of gastrointestinal microflora to amino acid homeostasis of the host animals was reviewed in this paper, which covered the estimation of microbial contribution to amino acid homeostasis of the host by ~(15)N labeling paradigm, nitrogen sources for microbial amino acid synthesis, dietary effects on intestinal microbial essential amino acid synthesis, and absorption of microbial amino acid from intestine.
