The laser-markable molding composition comprising A) at least one semi-crystalline thermoplastics in an amount of 80 to 99.5 weight percent, based on the total mass of the molding composition and B) at least one particulate light-sensitive salt-like compound that changes under the influence of laser light, its color or leads to a color change in the plastic, and which has an anion selected from the group consisting of phosphorus-containing oxo anions and anions of carbonic acid and at least two different cations of containing different elements, of which one cation is selected from Ti, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu from the group Zn, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ag, Sn, Sb, La, Pr, Ta , W, Ce and of which a further cation is selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Al, Ga, In, Tl, Sn, Sc, Ti, Fe, Y, Nb, Mo, Tc, Ru , Rh, Pd and the lanthanides, other than Pr or wherein the cation is a combination of ...
