60.2: Distinguished Paper:A 30 W Pure Blue Emission with NUV Laser‐Diode‐Pumped Phosphor for High‐Brightness Projectors

A light engine with NUV laser-diodes (LDs) pumped RGB phosphor for high-brightness projectors is presented. We developed a high power NUV LDs module and blue phosphor material with high efficiency that demonstrated a 30 W pure blue emission. A projector prototype was also implemented and showed wider color space than sRGB.
