A Fast Algorithm to Calculate the Transfer Impedance of an Arbitrarily Shaped Power Bus

This letter presents a fast algorithm for a modal expansion solution that can be used to calculate the transfer impedance of a power bus with an arbitrary shape. Being different from conventional studies that only discuss simple geometry, such as rectangular and triangular shapes, the present study deduces an integral theory to handle arbitrarily shaped power bus by the product of impedance matrixes. Besides, a fast algorithm of modal expansion solution for handling isosceles triangular cavity is first presented in this study.
