A Novel Low Cost Single Stage Electronic Ballast

This paper gives a single-stage electronic ballast based on the integration of self-excited oscillation converter and Buck-Boost power factor correction circuit.Controlling signals of Power MOSFET is obtained from the resonance circuit of the combination of saturated transformer.The iron core is saturated to control two Power MOSFET control signal dead time.Since no special integrated circuit control ballast,and compared with typical two stages of electronic ballast,the ballast is low cost and the experiments show that the circuit is feasible.
