Fragmentation pathways of [(Ph3P)AuM(CO)3(n5-C5H4CHO)] upon electron impact in the gas phase or upon photolysis in solution

In heterobimetallic complexes of the type (η5-formylcyclopentadienyl)(triphenylphosphine-gold)tricarbonylchromium (molybdenum, tungsten) the Au-transition metal bond is easily cleaved either in the gas phase via electron impact (ionization), or in the liquid phase by photolysis.
