Nanomaterials based on group III–VII rare elements: Targeted synthesis, structure, and properties

2007
We systematize the results of studies aimed at creating physicochemical principles of the fabrication of metallic and oxide nanomaterials based on rare elements (Nb, Ta, Re, Mo, W, and rare-earth elements). The key point of the approach under development is the preparation of metallic (metals and alloys) and oxide (binary and mixed oxides) powders via the thermal decomposition of mono-and polymetallic hydroxy and oxyalkoxy derivatives. We describe the preparation and characterization of nanopowders of refractory metals, alloys, oxides, and their solid solutions with controlled properties.
