Scientific bases of technology improvement of planting trees in urban plantings in the environment of the Kyiv metropolis in modern conditions

Characterized according to literary sources the evaluation of biological methods of protection of the environment, that is fixed by the weakening of this function in connection with a significant deterioration of the general condition of urban green spaces. Reported the preparation and publication jointly with Professor S.I. Kuznetsov and Assoc. V.V. Pushkar second edition «range of trees, shrubs and vines for planting in Ukraine» under the editorship of Professor F. M. Lеvon; about selected plant communities of the city forms Aesculus hippocastanum L., tolerant to the urban environment and sustainable against chestnut leaf miner moth Cameraria ohridella Deschka et Dimic and their location via the GPS navigation. Substantiates the thesis about the role of soil under asphaltic space in providing woody plants with mineral nutrients and water to completely covered with asphalt sidewalks. For development by landscaping of the areas represented by alluvial sands in the left Bank part of the city’s recommended spreading on its surface a fertile soil mixture, if necessary, watering and the use for planting of woody plants able to form superficial root system.
