The invention discloses an intelligent road side system which comprises a multi-source information acquisition unit, a GNSS locating module, a multi-source information transmission module, a wireless communication module, an information processing and fusion module, and a control center. The multi-source information acquisition unit, the GNSS locating module, and the wireless communication module are all connected to the multi-source information transmission module. The multi-source information transmission module transmits received information to the information processing and fusion module through the wireless communication module. The information processing and fusing module is connected with the control center. The intelligent road side system of the invention uses a signaler, a laser sensor, a video sensor, a GPS locating module, and other types of sensors to acquire traffic information and road surface condition information, and carries out fusion on the acquired information to obtain real time and accurate traffic information and road surface condition information.
