Comparação das Estruturas de Continuidade Espacial de Quatro Formações Florestais Através da Geoestatística Baseada em Modelo

The aim of this study was to use the Model-based Geostatistics as a tool to compare the spatial continuity structures of four forest formations of Sao Paulo State. Five models were compared, the first model (M1) considered that the formations have the same spatial structure, and the second model (M2) considered that the formations have different spatial structures. The models M3, M4 and M5 were constructed according to the similarity of spatial pattern, proximity of the areas and more pronounced spatial pattern, respectively. The estimation of the parameters was by maximum likelihood and comparison of models by the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and differences in AIC. It was observed that the M2 model was the most plausible, and then the spatial structures are different.
