Evidences for intermediate valence behavior in CeNi5In

Abstract We report results on transport, magnetic and specific heat measurements of the CeNi 5 In compound. It was found to crystallize in the hexagonal CeNi 5 Sn type of structure, space group P 6 3 / mmm with parameters a  = 4.891(1) A and c  = 19.878(1) A. The magnetic susceptibility curve shows an absolute small value of order of 10 −3  emu/mol and deviation from Curie–Weiss behavior for T T
