Measurement in the Parameters of the Low Frequencies Surface Waves by Means of Laser Diffraction

2006
Highly visible stationary laser diffraction patterns from liquid surface waves were obtained experimentally. The diffraction intensity is variable with the surface wave amplitude which was also found. The dependence of the diffraction intensity upon the surface wave amplitude and the relation of fringes distribution with surface wave wavelength were derived. A real-time and non-contact measurement in the parameters of the liquid surface waves were developed. Meanwhile, the simple experiment set-up was established.
