Do Bloch walls affect plastic flow

Abstract Hayashi et al.'s findings that moving Bloch walls decrease the flow stress of nickel single crystals are criticized. The observed load drops are not due to unpinning of dislocations by Bloch walls, but rather to magnetostriction.
