Internet Protocol (IP) address matching system and method

2012
An Internet Protocol (IP) address matching method is applied to a computer and is used for matching the IP address of a Unit Under Test (UUT) connected to the computer and the IP address of a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) disposed in the UUT. The IP address matching method includes that whether the a device is newly accessed into the computer is monitored in real time according to the IP address; a requirement that ordering the device newly accessed into the computer to transmit back signals of identification references is sent when the device is monitored; the identification references transmitted back by the device newly accessed into the computer are received; whether the device newly accessed into the computer is the BMC or the UUT is judged; when the device newly accessed into the computer is the BMC, a record used for storing the back transmitted Media Access Control (MAC) address and the IP address of the BMC is added in a matched record table, and a starting-up signal is transmitted to the BMC so as to start up the UUT; when the device newly accessed into the computer is the UUT, the back transmitted IP address is stored in an IP address bar of the UUT in the matched record table corresponding to back transmitted MAC address. By adopting the IP address matching method, testing of a server with different IP addresses can be controlled overall.
