aromatic aliphatic biodegradable polyesters

2006
Film comprising a biodegradable aliphatic / aromatic copolyester (AAPE) comprising: a) an acid component comprising repeating units of: 1. 50 to 60 mol% of a polyfunctional aromatic acid; 2. 5 40 50 mol% of an aliphatic acid, at least 90% of this is a long chain dicarboxylic acid (LCDA) of natural origin selected from azelaic acid, sebacic acid, brassylic acid or mixtures thereof; b) at least one diol component; said dicarboxylic acid having long chain aliphatic (LCDA) and said diol component (b) a number of carbon atoms according to the following formula: (CLCDA * YLCDA) / 2 + Cb * Yb> 7.5 where: - CLCDA is the number of carbon atoms of the LCDA and can be 9, 10 or 13; - YLCDA is the mole fraction of each LCDA on the total number of moles of LCDA; - Cb is the number of carbon atoms of each diol component; - Yb is the molar fraction of each diol on the total number of moles of the diol component (b) having said AAPE: - biodegradability after 90 days higher than 70% with respect to pure cellulose according to the Standard ISO 14855 Amendment 1; - a density measured with a machine for heavy Mohr-Westphal, exceeding 1.20 g / cc; - an average number molecular weight Mn, determined by gel permeation chromatography, of from 40,000 to 140,000; - an intrinsic viscosity, measured with Ubbelhode viscosimeter for solutions in CHCl3 of a concentration of 0.2 g / dl at 25) of 0.8 to 1.5.
