Advances in Genetic Engineering

2019
Genetic engineering, also called genetic modification or genetic manipulation, is the direct manipulation of an organism's genes using biotechnology. It is a set of technologies used to change the genetic makeup of cells, including the transfer of genes within and across species boundaries to produce improved or novel organisms. In the present book, twelve typical literatures about Genetic Engineering published on international authoritative journals were selected to introduce the worldwide newest progress, which contains reviews or original researches on new techniques of genetic engineering, Mental ecology, gene therapy, genetically modified crops Genetically modified food, etc. We hope this book can demonstrate advances in genetic engineering as well as give references to the researchers, students and other related people.
