К вопросу о содержании принципа свободы совести в Соединенных штатах Америки

The basic concept defining the whole topic of this work is a «freedom of conscience and religion» and the interpretation of its definition in the United States of America. As it is known from history, the majority of countries resorted to the religious coercion that was brought to the level of a state policy. The confrontation of similar practice was made in the United States of America where a religious variety was brought by immigrants. However, the implementation of this principle in real life of the USA had many nuances and errors. As a result of a long development of the principles of freedom of conscience and secular state in the USA a theory so-called «civil religion» had occurred associated with bible motives and strengthened U.S. national traditions and myths. For many years of fostering this theory acquired the expressed messianic character based on the recognition of the American way of life as a peculiar sacrament. The only criterion of religious recognition (or assumption) is an internal safety and stability of s «God’s chosen» society in which there is no place for atheists, agnostics and other «immoral» changes from the American point of view.
