Boron deficiency in fruit crops

2020
Abstract The balanced nutrition is needed for optimum growth and yield. Boron is one of the essential micronutrients, which due to its small concentration range between its deficiency and toxicity in soil-plant systems, have a significant role in plant nutrition and health. Many anatomical, physiological, and biochemical disorders are happened by Boron deficiency. Because of the quickness and the wide variety of symptoms that follow boron deficiency, determining the initial functions of boron in plants has been one of the main challenges in plant nutrition. This element also because of having a relationship with other nutrients can affect their functions in plants. Hence, reorganization of chemical behavior, functions, and deficiency symptoms of boron is important for balanced management of plant nutrition and optimum yield.
