Systems and methods for calculating a vertical position

Control system and method which provide a high degree of vertical measurement accuracy for a body in movement, are disclosed. The systems use an inertial sensor system for measuring a vertical and a Global Navigation Satellite System, the multi-path reduction or attenuation contains for providing corrected vertical information for a moving body for the inertial sensor system. The combination of these systems makes it possible to maintain an accurate vertical position of this body.
