Finishing agent with improved rewetting assets

The invention concerns brightening agents having improved re-wetting ability and containing: (a) phosphated quaternized fatty acid triethanolamine ester salts ("esterquats") of formula (I), in which R CO stands for an acyl group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms, R and R , independently of each other, stand for hydrogen or R CO, n stands for numbers from 1 to 10, x, y and z stand for 1 or numbers from 2 to 30, and X stands for an alkyl and/or dialkylphosphate having 6 to 22 carbon atoms; and (b) alcohol polyglycolethers of formula (II) in which R stands for alkyl and/or alkenyl groups having 6 to 22 carbon atoms and p stands for numbers from 1 to 20.
