Structure and Optical Absorption of Li y V 2 O 5 Thin Films

Films of lithiated vanadium pentoxide (LiyV2O5) are of interest for ion storage in electrochromic “smart windows” and in lithium battery technology. In this paper we study optical absorption of LiyV2O5 films in the 0.3 < λ < 2.5 μm wavelength range, encompassing visible light and solar radiation, in relation to the micro-structure.
