Magnetic disk storage device
1990
PURPOSE: To downsize and reduce a power consumption by holding a spindle assembly and an actuator bearing a converter on a semiconductor substrate, and letting a signal transmission means stretch out of the substrate. CONSTITUTION: A disk 12 is mounted on a spindle assembly 14 provided with a spindle shaft 15 fixed on a base 10, and is driven by a DC brushless motor 13. The motor 13 is comprising a flat coil 16, a stator core part 18, a rotor core part of an assembly 14, and a permanent magnet 2 which rotates synchronizing with the rotor core. The actuator 25 is comprising a permeable inside core 26, a permeable outside core 27, and two permanent magnets 28 which form in common an action gap for a voice coil 29 to move therein. The actuator shaft 31 is fixed on the base 10. A converter-bearing assembly 33 is mounted so as to rotate about the shaft, and is provided with the converter 37 and an arm holding the coil 29 on the opposite side. Thus, power consumption can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
