The energy feedback device comprises a control circuit, a rectification circuit, a middle DC (direct current) voltage circuit and an inverter circuit, wherein the rectification circuit adopts IGBT (insulated gate bipolar translator) power devices to form a three phase PWM (pulse-width modulation) rectifier, the other units of the rectification circuit adopt 6 diodes to form a three phase bridge type uncontrolled rectification circuit, and the inverter circuit adopts IGBTs to form a single phase H type bridge circuit. The energy feedback device based on the power unit cascade type high voltage frequency converter solves the pumping voltage problem in DC bus bar in operation of power unit level cascade type high voltage variable frequency drive through a concise and economical main circuit, meets the requirements of four-quadrant operation of various motor loads, has good energy saving effect, lowers the fabrication cost of a power unit, and has high economical efficiency.
