Study on Backward Transient Scattered Electric Fields from a Coated Metal Cylinder

We calculate backward transient scattered electric fields from a coated metal cylinder, which is covered with a homogeneous medium layer. A time-domain asymptotic-numerical solution (TD-ANS) is used for computations in a backward transient scattered electric field by a coated metal cylinder. An analysis method using the TD-ANS provides a basis of nondestructive testing for corrosion degree of rebar in steel reinforced concrete structures. By comparing with a reference solution, we examine an interpretation method of response waveforms of backward transient scattered electric fields by using the TD-ANS.
