Importance of Basset History Force for the Description of Magnetically Driven Motion of Magnetic Particles in Air

Understanding of magnetically driven particle motion in air is of particular importance in diverse fields-from dry ore separators to targeting of aerosolized drugs into lungs. Full mathematical description is provided by integro-differential Maxey-Riley equation. Using effective numerical methods we have shown the importance of including Basset history force for correct description of magnetic field induced highly accelerated motion of magnetic micropar-ticles.
