2017
The article is a report on the first experience of delivering lectures in clinical pharmacy by the Ukrainian teachers of the National University of Pharmacy in the countries of the European Union. The opportunity was provided thanks to the European Program ERASMUS+. In accordance with the requirements of the Program the National University of Pharmacy agreed to exchange specialists with the University of Medicine named after Professor Paraskev Stoyanov (Varna, Bulgaria), and within a four-day stay at the University 8 hours of lectures on the following topics were delivered: “The place and the role of clinical pharmacy in the modern healthcare system”, “Innovative and generic drugs: advantages and disadvantages”, “Clinical pharmacology and pharmaceutical care of NSAIDs: what is new?” and “Herbal drugs and modern medicine”. The choice of the topics for lectures was not accidental. The lectures presented are the result of the teamwork of the staff of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy of the NUPh. These topics are key, motivational and essential for the subject among more than 50 lectures on clinical pharmacy, clinical pharmacology, and pharmaceutical care delivered at the Department. The article substantiates the necessity of the international exchange of the experience of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical education in the field of clinical pharmacy with foreign colleagues, describes the main content of lectures, notes the key issues posed in them.
