Copper-containing high-intensity high-toughness submerged arc welding wire and welding process thereof

2013
The invention relates to a copper-containing high-intensity high-toughness submerged arc welding wire and a welding process thereof. The submerged arc welding wire comprises the following chemical components: 0.02 to 0.06 weight percent of C, 0.20 to 0.40 weight percent of Si, 1.20 to 2.00 weight percent of Mn, 1.50 to 4.00 weight percent of Cu, 0.01 to 0.06 weight percent of Nb, V and Ti, less than or equal to 0.002 weight percent of S, less than or equal to 0.01 weight percent of P, and the balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities. The welding process of the submerged arc welding wire disclosed by the invention has the characteristics that a fluoride-alkali type sintered flux SJ101-G is adopted; the energy of the welding wire is in the range of 15 to 28kJ/cm; preheating is not carried out before welding; the interlayer temperature is controlled in the range of 50 DEG C to room temperature; and heat treatment is not carried out after welding. The copper-containing high-intensity high-toughness submerged arc welding wire has the characteristics of simple alloy element composition, easiness for control, low cost and simple welding process; and a formed weld metal has high tensile strength and excellent low temperature impact toughness and is suitable for large-scale structural components such as chemical process vessels, petroleum pipelines, power pressure pipelines, ships and ocean platforms large-scale aircraft carriers.
