Advances in application of Pseudomonas aeruginosa injection in adjuvant therapy for malignant tumor

2010
The basic research and clinical application of Pseudomonas aeruginosa injection show its strong immunogenicity, which is embodied in the regulation of the humoral immunity of the organism for the purpose of enabling the organism to produce high-titer and broad-spectrum antibodies from different genera as well as the full regulation of the cellular immunity of the organism for the purpose of improving the antibacterial capability of the organism. With post-operative concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy,Pseudomonas aeruginosa injection can reduce post-operative complications and tumor recurrence rate, enhance the effect of concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy and improve the quality of life in tumor patients, which has proved to be effective, safe and reliable during the clinical therapy for many kinds of malignant tumor, without significant toxic or side effects. This paper summarized the present situation on the application of Pseudomonas aeruginosa injection in the adjuvant therapy for malignant tumor.
