Abstract Electrolysis of methylmagnesium chloride or dimethylmagnesium in tetrahydrofuran (thf) with an indium anode yields the spectroscopically characterised adduct Me 3 In · thf directly; the adducts Me 3 In · L (L = NEt 3 , PMe 3 , PEt 3 ) are obtained by direct addition of excess L to Me 3 In · thf.
