Seismic Constrained Lobe Object Modelling for a Better Representation of Dynamic Heterogeneities

2017
This paper presents an approach of turbiditic lobes object modelling using a seismic constraint on a deep offshore oil field. After 2 years of production, new seismic data (broadband seismic) and the results of development wells (producers and injectors) and dynamic information (essentially pressure, production and injection volumes) were available to update a new geological and reservoir model. The main challenge of this update was to represent lobes complexes and their internal heterogeneities, which are below seismic resolution and could behave as sedimentary barriers. To perform this lobe object modeling, a new inhouse tool called flexboolx© encapsulated in Total geoscience platform Sismage CIG©.
