Single-Epoch Integer Ambiguity Resolution with GPS L1-L2 Carrier Phase Measurements

1997
An effective search technique is presented for resolving integer ambiguities. The teehnique, called LMS, is used to denmstrate that single-epoch integer ambiguity resolution is generally practical if 6 or more satelli- are visible and the modeling arm in the double difkrenee.s is below kept 0.2 e#e. The technique is teated epoch-by-epoch with GPS L1-L2 measurements mllected at a 5 seccmd sampling rate wer 24 hours with abaselineof2 km. Theanccess rate is wer 99%. The method is extended fw use wer longer baselines, and, in fact, for heal areas, by the use af multiple reference statkms. A success rate of 100%0is achieved wer a 9-km baseline using 3 rekrenee stations.
